1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Bucko, including the Bucko mobile app, related websites, support channels, and associated services.

By creating an account, downloading the app, or using Bucko, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Bucko.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

You may use Bucko only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

You agree to:

• provide accurate account information;
• maintain the security of your account and device;
• use only accounts and login methods you are authorized to use;
• notify Bucko if you believe your account has been compromised.

Bucko uses third-party authentication providers, including Clerk and social sign-in providers such as Google or Apple. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

3. Description of the Service

Bucko is a personal finance and budgeting app that allows users to:

• track expenses and income;
• manage multiple wallets and currencies;
• create categories, tags, recurring transactions, and goals;
• record transactions manually, through natural-language input, or by scanning receipts;
• use AI-assisted chat and categorization features;
• share wallets with other users;
• access premium or subscription-based features where offered.

Bucko is a productivity and information tool. It is not a bank, payment institution, broker, lender, insurer, accountant, tax adviser, financial planner, or legal adviser.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• reviewing the accuracy of transactions, categories, notes, recurring settings, and AI-generated suggestions before relying on them;
• ensuring that any financial records you keep in Bucko are appropriate for your own needs;
• maintaining your own backups or independent records where necessary;
• using Bucko in compliance with applicable law;
• ensuring that content you upload or submit does not infringe others' rights or violate the law.

You remain solely responsible for any decisions you make based on data, suggestions, or outputs shown in Bucko.

5. Shared Wallets and Collaboration Risks

Bucko allows wallet sharing and collaboration.

If you create, join, or use a shared wallet:

• wallet participants may be able to view data associated with that wallet;
• you are responsible for who you invite or accept into a shared wallet;
• Bucko is not responsible for disputes between wallet participants;
• you should not place sensitive information into a shared wallet unless you are comfortable sharing it with that wallet's participants.

6. AI Features and No-Professional-Advice Disclaimer

Bucko includes AI-assisted features such as natural-language transaction parsing, chat assistance, categorization support, and receipt interpretation.

Those features may rely on third-party AI providers, currently including OpenAI and Google Gemini.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or misleading;
• AI outputs are generated automatically and may not reflect your intent or circumstances;
• Bucko does not guarantee that AI outputs are correct or suitable for any purpose;
• AI outputs are for convenience only and must be reviewed by you before use;
• Bucko does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.

7. Receipt and Photo Scan Limitations

Receipt and image scanning features are designed to help extract transaction information from photos, but they may misread or omit information.

You are responsible for reviewing:

• merchant names;
• amounts;
• line items;
• dates;
• categories;
• any resulting transaction suggestions.

Bucko may use temporary third-party upload and processing infrastructure for receipt images. Receipt-image handling is also described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Subscription and Premium Terms

Some Bucko features may require a paid subscription or premium entitlement.

If you purchase or restore access:

• subscription billing may be handled through Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or another platform provider;
• subscription status may depend on information received from those providers;
• access to premium features may end if your subscription expires, is cancelled, is refunded, or cannot be verified;
• pricing, features, free trials, and entitlements may change over time where permitted by law.

Unless otherwise required by law, Bucko is not responsible for third-party billing systems, payment failures, or store-managed subscription cancellations or refunds.

9. App Stores and Third-Party Platforms

If you download or use Bucko through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another platform, you acknowledge that:

• those platforms may impose their own terms and rules;
• Bucko may rely on their infrastructure for distribution, billing, updates, or sign-in;
• platform providers are not responsible for Bucko's service commitments except where required by law or their own terms.

10. Acceptable Use Restrictions

You must not:

• use Bucko for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive purposes;
• attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or impair Bucko or its infrastructure;
• scrape or systematically extract Bucko data except as expressly allowed by law;
• upload malicious code, malware, or harmful content;
• use Bucko to violate another person's privacy, rights, or applicable law;
• misuse AI or chat features to generate harmful, infringing, or unlawful content;
• attempt to access accounts, wallets, or data you are not authorized to access.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

11. User Content and License Needed to Operate the Service

You retain your rights in content and data you submit to Bucko, subject to any rights of other people whose information you input.

You grant Bucko a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, reproduce, and transmit your submitted data solely as necessary to:

• provide and maintain the service;
• operate sharing and synchronization features;
• perform receipt scanning and AI-assisted functions you request;
• provide support and troubleshoot issues;
• improve, secure, and enforce the service, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual Property

Bucko, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, interfaces, and underlying service components, is owned by Bucko or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. Subject to these Terms, Bucko grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the service for personal, lawful purposes.

13. Availability, Changes, and Suspension

Bucko may change, update, suspend, or discontinue any feature, provider, model, or part of the service at any time, including AI providers, integrations, pricing, feature availability, or technical requirements.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages, third-party failures, app-store issues, provider changes, or security events may affect access.

14. Termination and Account Closure

You may stop using Bucko at any time and may request account or data deletion in accordance with Bucko's deletion process and Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• you materially breach these Terms;
• your use creates security, legal, or operational risk;
• we are required to do so by law;
• third-party platform or infrastructure restrictions make continued service impractical.

Termination does not affect provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute-related provisions, and retained legal obligations.

15. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bucko is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Bucko disclaims warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability, except to the extent such disclaimers are prohibited by law.

Without limiting the above:

• Bucko does not guarantee the accuracy of financial records entered by you or generated with AI assistance;
• Bucko does not guarantee receipt scan accuracy;
• Bucko does not guarantee that shared-wallet participants will act appropriately;
• Bucko does not guarantee that subscription status or third-party integrations will always sync correctly.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bucko and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity arising out of or related to your use of Bucko.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Bucko and its operator for claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid to Bucko for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
• EUR 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bucko and its operator from losses, claims, liabilities, and expenses arising out of:

• your misuse of the service;
• your violation of these Terms;
• your unlawful or infringing content;
• disputes between you and other wallet participants caused by your conduct.

This clause does not apply to the extent prohibited by mandatory consumer law.

18. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

Subject to mandatory applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the service will be submitted to the competent courts of Hungary.

19. Consumer Rights Savings Clause

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law. Where mandatory law gives you rights that conflict with these Terms, mandatory law will prevail to that extent.
