1. How to Request Deletion
If you want Bucko account data to be deleted, use the in-app deletion path if available or contact Bucko using the support or privacy contact details published below.

2. In-App Deletion Path
Bucko currently includes an internal deletion path intended to remove major categories of user data stored in Bucko's Convex backend after identity is verified.
This means Bucko is designed to support deletion of core in-app records rather than requiring only a manual support workflow.
3. What Data Is Intended to Be Deleted
Based on the current implementation, Bucko's deletion workflow is intended to remove major categories of app data stored in Convex, including:
- wallets owned by the user;
- transactions associated with owned wallets;
- recurring transactions and related skip entries;
- wallet invite codes and wallet membership records associated with owned wallets;
- category goals;
- tags;
- user-created categories;
- AI proposal records;
- temporary photo scan records;
- account settings.
If you are a member of someone else's shared wallet, Bucko may also remove your membership records as part of the deletion process.
4. What May Remain
Deletion of Bucko-held app data may not automatically delete all information that may still exist elsewhere, including data held independently by third parties under their own systems, retention rules, or legal obligations.
Examples may include:
- authentication-provider records, including Clerk-held identity records, if not removed through the same workflow;
- app-store purchase or billing records held by Apple or Google;
- subscription platform records held by RevenueCat;
- analytics, diagnostics, or notification-provider records retained for security, integrity, or compliance reasons;
- records retained where required by law, fraud prevention, abuse handling, dispute resolution, or backup integrity constraints.
Bucko should not promise instant or universal deletion across every third-party system.
5. Shared Wallet Effects
If you delete your account:
- data in wallets you own may be deleted as part of the current Bucko deletion flow;
- your membership in wallets owned by others may be removed;
- other users may still retain independent knowledge, screenshots, exported information, or records from past shared-wallet activity outside Bucko's control.
If you need a more limited request, such as leaving a shared wallet without deleting your entire account, use the relevant in-app feature if available.
6. Subscription and Provider Caveats
Deleting Bucko account data does not necessarily cancel app-store subscriptions. Subscription cancellation may need to be handled separately through:
- Apple App Store subscription settings;
- Google Play subscription settings; or
- other billing or platform interfaces that control the subscription.
Deletion of Bucko data also may not automatically remove provider-side logs, fraud-prevention records, or legally required retained records.
7. Receipt Image Handling
Bucko's receipt image flow is designed to use uploaded receipt images as temporary processing inputs rather than permanent file storage.
Based on the current implementation:
- uploaded receipt images are intended to be deleted after confirmation of a resulting transaction;
- cancelled scans are intended to trigger deletion;
- stale temporary receipt uploads are intended to be cleaned up on an approximate 24-hour cycle.
8. Expected Processing Timeline
- Bucko aims to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days.
- Bucko aims to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days where reasonably possible.
Some requests may take longer if identity verification, fraud review, technical constraints, backups, or legal obligations apply.
