Cookies and Analytics Notice
Last updated: 2026-05-12
1. Website Cookies and Website Analytics
The Bucko website at https://buckobudget.com does not currently use advertising cookies, third-party website analytics tags, or website session-replay tools.
The website currently serves informational pages and legal documents. Based on the current website implementation, Bucko does not intentionally place non-essential cookies on your device through the website itself.
Like most websites, the hosting or infrastructure providers used to deliver the site may process basic technical request data such as IP address, browser metadata, timestamps, and server logs for security, delivery, and reliability purposes. Those technical logs are not described here as advertising or behavioral tracking cookies.
If Bucko later adds website analytics, embedded third-party tools, advertising technologies, or cookie-based forms, this notice will be updated accordingly.
2. Confirmed In-App Analytics and Diagnostics
Based on the current Bucko implementation, the app uses analytics and diagnostics tooling to understand product usage and app reliability.
Confirmed current app practices include use of PostHog for:
- feature and product analytics events;
- onboarding and usage measurement;
- diagnostics and error-event capture.
Bucko currently has PostHog session replay disabled.
The app also stores certain preferences locally on-device, such as language, display settings, theme choices, and related product preferences. Those local settings are used for app functionality rather than website cookie tracking.
3. PostHog Summary
PostHog may receive information such as:
- app usage events;
- product interaction events;
- coarse user-linked analytics properties;
- error and exception events;
- app metadata such as platform, locale, and app version in certain contexts.
4. Push Notifications
Bucko uses OneSignal for push notifications in the mobile app.
This may involve processing:
- push notification identifiers;
- app notification delivery data;
- external user aliases used to associate notification delivery with a Bucko account.
Push notifications are app-level communications, not website cookies.
5. How Users Can Limit Analytics or Notifications
Depending on device, platform, and future product settings, users may be able to limit certain processing by:
- disabling push notifications in device settings;
- declining optional device permissions where the operating system allows that choice;
- adjusting future in-app privacy controls if Bucko publishes them;
- contacting Bucko with privacy requests where applicable.
This notice does not state that Bucko currently offers a dedicated in-app analytics opt-out unless and until that is verified and documented.
